Aberdare Ranges is an awe-inspiring landscape. Our love for adventure leads us to a new hiking trail at the edge of the Murang'a border with Kiambu County.
The journey starts from Nairobi, with a scenic drive through the Kenyan countryside. It takes about two hours from Nairobi to the Trek starting point.
The trail follows a fisherman's path down to Chania River. We cross over and start climbing up towards Ragia River. After about an hour or so of hiking through nature's beauty—including views from both sides!--we reach our destination: Kimakia Falls! It is impossible not to be amazed by how much water, falls. Thrashing over the rocks with majesty on this mountainside-in fact, you could say that no other place in Africa has anything even close.
